Del 20 al 26 de abril, el Club Campestre El Campanario ser\u00e1 sede del Campanario Championship 2026 by Hospital Moscati, torneo que congregar\u00e1 a m\u00e1s de 400 jugadores en 13 categor\u00edas y proyecta una bolsa de impacto de seis millones de pesos, con 40 premios en disputa.
Durante la presentaci\u00f3n oficial, el director general del club, Ricardo Sierra Girrant, explic\u00f3 que esta edici\u00f3n marca la transici\u00f3n del formato \u201cOpen\u201d a \u201cChampionship\u201d, priorizando la experiencia en campo y la integraci\u00f3n familiar. Record\u00f3 que el certamen naci\u00f3 en 1994 con 120 participantes y que en su etapa Open alcanz\u00f3 hasta 480 jugadores.
Por su parte, el presidente del Consejo de Administraci\u00f3n, Jos\u00e9 Jaime Ponce Rodr\u00edguez Cacho, destac\u00f3 que el evento se ha consolidado como una tradici\u00f3n para la comunidad golfista local. El campo, dise\u00f1ado por Von Hagge, Smelek & Baril, abarca 90 hect\u00e1reas y es considerado uno de los m\u00e1s retadores del pa\u00eds.
El presidente del Comit\u00e9 de Golf, Fausto Vel\u00e1zquez Franco, detall\u00f3 que competir\u00e1n socios e invitados en categor\u00edas como Scratch Campeonato, A, B, C, D, Senior y S\u00faper Senior. Adem\u00e1s, del 15 al 17 de mayo se celebrar\u00e1 el torneo anual infantil y juvenil.
